2010 Mazda CX-9

The 2010 Mazda CX-9 was debuted at the New York Auto Show in 2009. It received an update inside and out, though it will be mechanically identical to the outgoing model aside from some minor suspension tweaks.

The three-row SUV, which is based on the Mazda 6 sedan’s platform, will continue to use its 3.7-liter V6, offering 273 horsepower at 6,250 rpm and 250 pound-feet of torque between 3,000 and 6,000 rpm. Torque peaks at 270 lb-ft. at 4,250 rpm.

It gets more in line with its competitors, offering new wheels, and revised tail lamps. It comes with a new bolder five-point grille, a restyled radiator grille, improved front combination lamps and fog lamps, new 20- and 18-inch wheel designs, and revised taillights with the same texture as front lamps. A new exterior color, Dolphin Gray, is now offered.

For 2010, new interior features include chrome accents throughout the cabin, piano-black insets on steering wheel and around audio display, better fabric seating surfaces on models equipped with cloth upholstery, detailed stitching on vehicles with leather surfaces, and a new double-lid center console with storage for up to four DVDs and nine CD’s.

Price: $29,385
