2010 Dodge Charger SRT8
The 2010 Dodge Charger SRT8 is equipped with that famous HEMI engine, which truly brings back the meaning of American Muscle.
The Charger SRT8 is all about performance, and features an Auto-Stick five-speed automatic transmission, 20-inch alloy wheels with performance tires, a sports suspension, dual chrome exhaust pipes, and an aerodynamic body kit with hood scoop and rear spoiler.
Under the hood is a 6.1 liter SRT Hemi V-8 engine that puts out 425 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 420 pound-feet of torque at 4,800 rpm. One of the best parts of the Charger is its earth shaking exhaust note which can make your palms sweaty even before the pedal is pressed.
The Charger SRT8 is rear-wheel drive and can accelerate from 0-60 mph in under 5 seconds, with a top speed of 165 mph.
Fuel economy on this bad boy is nothing special due to its performance roots. It is rated at 14 mpg in the city, and 20 mpg highway.
The 2010 Charger SRT8 also comes equipped with brake assist, an Electronic Stability Program (ESP), and a four-wheel anti-lock brakes system, as well as fog lights for better visibility.
Interior-wise, comfort and convenience features are all over the Charger. It comes with leather seats, a six-speaker Boston Acoustics audio system, cruise control, air conditioning, plus full power amenities which include windows, door locks, heated mirrors and front seats. On a BMW, those options may be standard, but on American Muscle cars they are simply luxuries.
Other notable features in the SRT8 include a back-seat SIRIUS satellite video system, a 20-gigabyte MyGIG system, plus illuminated cup holders and map pockets for those who do not believe in navigation systems.
The Charger is built in Brampton, Ontario which is the same factory Chrysler builds the 300.
For those of you who didn’t know, SRT stands for “Street and Racing Technology”.
