Chevrolet is celebrating their 100th anniversary with an all new Corvette model. The car is a tribute to racing driver turned entrepreneur, Louis Chevrolet’s inspiration and lifestyle.
The car is called the 2012 Chevrolet Centennial Edition Corvette, and it gets a special coat of “Carbon Flash” black paint. It also wears logos on the B-pillars with the number 100 and has a red and black theme throughout.
The Corvette Centennial Edition sits on special 18 or 19 inch wheels for the Grand Sport and standard Corvette and 19 or 20 inch wheels for the ZR1 and Z06 models.
The Centennial Edition package is available on every Corvette model, this means you can get your Z06, ZR1 or Grand Sport outfitted with the new guise. Coupe or convertible, this could be in your garage as soon as possible! All of the 100th anniversary package cars receive red painted brake calipers and an optional magnetic adjustable suspension.
Interior-wise, the cockpit wears alcantara/suede all over and has contrasting red stitching to set off additional black trim. The headrests are embossed with the 100th anniversary logo for an added touch.
The first model will be auctioned off at the Barrett-Jackson auctions in West Palm Beach, Florida. All proceeds of the sale will go to the Austin Hatcher Foundation for Pediatric Cancer.
The Centennial Edition Corvettes go on sale this summer.
